Tony is an educator and percussionist focused on musical dialogue between cultures. The Education Manager for the Broadway Center, he is a teaching artist for Seattle’s Creative Advantage and a speaker for Humanities Washington. A former California K-12 teacher who writes curricula for PBS. the EMP/Smithsonian and Broadway Center, his recent projects focus on greater equity in arts education and utilizing folkloric arts to forge new academic success. He performs with Latin, Mediterranean and early music ensembles, holds a MA in Education from UC Berkeley and has conducted study trips in Latin America, Europe and North Africa.
