Non-profits and Art are her callings. Born and raised in Orange County, a place that has plenty of both was ideal for Isabel to find an organization to get involved with during her college years. At age 22, she joined the Board of Directors of RDC, a non-profit dance group in Santa Ana and kept herself highly involved in numerous areas of that organization for 17 years. In 2009, she was one of the recipients to receive the Award “100 OC Influential Women of the Year” due to her volunteerism efforts. In 2012, she brought her daughter, Valeria Miranda, for professional artistic growth to Grandeza Mexicana Folk Ballet Company (GMFBC), where she now finds herself highly involved and dedicated as the Board of Directors Chairwoman. Isabel’s experience in the non-profit sector is taking GMFBC to new horizons, one being a concert collaboration with the Grammy Award-winning Mexican-American singer/songwriter Lila Downs, as part of this year’s Ford Signature Series. She believes that the road to success it trying.
