Jerry Yoshitomi

Jerry Yoshitomi is Chief Knowledge Officer, MeaningMatters, LLC.  Throughout his career he has contributed to modest initiatives that frequently resulted in nationally/internationally significant innovations and change.  Making our Case brings together much of this career-spanning knowledge into a one day workshop and a framework for communicating the value of our work as presenters and touring artists. 

He has been engaged by foundations, public arts agencies, arts organizations and individual artists to read, research, and provoke innovative new practices, with just in time knowledge to increase arts participation, revenues and transformative changes in people’s lives. Methods from his writings & workshops have been successfully implemented by arts organizations and artists in the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Spain, Chile and Argentina. 
A former member of the Board of Directors of the Western Arts Alliance, he also chaired the National Task Force on Presenting and Touring the Performing Arts, resulting in the 1989 seminal report, An American Dialogue.  Jerry chaired three panels at the National Endowment for the Arts, served four years on the California Arts Council, was Treasurer of the Music Center of Los Angeles County and for seventeen years was the Executive Director of the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center in Los Angeles.
