Performers

California Guitar Trio & Montreal Guitare Trio

Two of the world's best guitar ensembles California Guitar Trio (CGT) and Montreal Guitare Trio (MG3) fuse over 40 years of combined performing experience into one unique six-by-6-string 'phenomensemble'. Representing four countries (Japan, Canada, Belgium, and US), CGT's steel stringed-guitars blend naturally with MG3's nylon-stringed guitars, as each trio's fret boards chase the others' original compositions and new arrangements of progressive rock, world, jazz and classical music.

Pascuala Ilabaca y Fauna

Accordion-wielding Pascuala Ilabaca is a favorite on the new scene of young Chilean singer-songwriters. Her music is rooted in traditional sounds, informed by a colorful childhood moving from Barcelona to Chile, Mexico to India, and back again. Taking cues from Violeta Parra and Janis Joplin, her unique stage presence conjures up both sweetness and empowerment, with song lyrics focused on distinctly positive messages of feminism, anti-violence, and cultural heritage. Her formidable band Fauna, made up of accordion, keyboard, sax / clarinet, percussion, bass and guitar.
