David Salada, The Sparrow Agency

David Salada founded The Sparrow Agency in 2014 to further the careers of musicians whose work he is passionate about. After supporting his wife as she began her career as a performer, Salada envisioned an agency that would help to navigate the unique challenges faced by artists whose music lies outside of the mainstream and outside of established genre circuits. David Salada and The Sparrow Agency currently represents Harpeth Rising, The April Verch Band, Ryanhood, The Honey Dewdrops, Newberry and Verch, Jeff Black, and Jonathan Byrd and The Pickup Cowboys.

Nava Dance Theatre

Nava Dance Theatre is a bharatanatyam dance company based in San Francisco, CA, which uses the classical south Indian dance form as a medium for artistic reflection and discovery. Moreover, the dancers of Nava believe that bharatanatyam, while classical, is a modern medium that can be used to discover and understand both traditional and contemporary themes. Nava's most recent work, "Broken Seeds Still Grow," inspired by the Partition of British India and created in partnership with visual artist Rupy C. Tut, premiered in November 2018 over four nights to sold out audiences. This project was supported by both the Easy Bay Community Foundation, CounterPulse, Zellerbach Family Foundation, City of Oakland, and CA$H Grants. Nava's past work has also been supported by CounterPulse Performing Diaspora, A.C.T
