General Statement of Duties:
The Hult Center for the performing arts is a beacon for arts and culture, providing exceptional experiences to our communities. Our mission is to enrich the cultural life of our region and we are indeed a regional Center, not only serving our communities in the Eugene metro-area, but communities from seven counties. For nearly 40 years, the Hult Center has been the pride of Eugene serving as the home for performing arts and providing some of the region's fondest personal memories. From family milestones to that unforgettable moment of seeing a performance that has such lasting impact, the Hult Center is an incredibly special place.
As part of the larger Cultural Services division of the City of Eugene, we take immense pride in the work we do to enrich and deepen cultural experiences for our community as well as increase access to the arts. Our purpose is to elevate the human spirit and we wholeheartedly believe the work we do improves the lives of our community.
With two performance halls, the Silva Concert Hall (seats 2448) and the Soreng Theater (seats 500) and other ancillary spaces, the Center is home to more than 800 events each year, including performances from four Resident Companies, local arts organizations, Broadway, and commercial touring. The Center has its own presenting series, curating approximately 35 performances a year. And, we're growing! We are increasing our programming and services to enhance our engagement and collaboration with our communities, provide equity and access and steward the Center into the future. We're looking for professionals who are passionate about performing arts and ready to make an impact as an arts champion in our community.
The Digital Communications Coordinator manages the Hult Center for the Performing Arts social media platforms, web and digital presence and e-mail marketing efforts. This role organizes and executes communications and campaigns for digital media and requires a strong eye for detail and organizational skills.
The ideal candidate understands that current marketing trends require a robust digital footprint and knows how to interconnect different platforms and outreach methods for a unified effort. You have an understanding and desire to know more about our audiences and how to reach them through effective audience building and targeting through digital ad platforms. You are excited by testing out ideas and acting on the results for optimal campaign performance. You are also excited to be the digital touchpoint for our patrons, with a strong understanding of customer service and problem solving with the goal of creating exception experiences. You have a passion for the arts and find value in helping others connect to them. You are excited by the constant challenge of evolving technologies and strive to stay ahead of the curve.
Receives supervision from Marketing Director and Marketing Manager.
May exercise lead direction over administrative/clerical temporary employees.
