Che Apalache from Buenos, Aires, Argentina is making their WAA Showcase debut. They play "Latingrass," a unique and dynamic blend of bluegrass and South American music. Their repertoire ranges from Latin rhythms to a capella Southern mountain gospel songs with four part harmonies. The group is led by North Carolina emigre Joe Troop, their charismatic lead singer, fiddler and songwriter. He is joined by Argentines Martin Bobrik (mandolin) and Franco Martino (guitar) and Pau Barjau (banjo) from Mexico.
