Seeking Applicants: WAA Membership & Communications Committee
Deepen your connection to WAA as a committee member! The application is open to all WAA members, and WAA will consider applicants whose membership has lapsed due to the pandemic.
The committee will review applications on an ongoing basis.
In November, the WAA Board approved merging the Membership committee and the Communications committee, resulting in the newly formed Membership & Communications committee. The new committee is seeking members who have experience in at least one of the following fields: membership management, marketing, content development, writing & editing, graphic design, social media.
The Membership & Communications Committee supports the recruitment and retention of performing arts practitioners as WAA members and oversees high-level strategies to communicate WAA’s work effectively to members and the field. The committee also organizes and reviews the nominations for the annual awards program and selects winners under the WAA's Policies and Procedures.
Goals of the committee include:
To increase the association’s membership and improve member retention.
To identify the needs of members and support initiatives to meet those needs.
To identify critical messaging and provide direction for content that serves and engages WAA’s diverse member community.
The application is open to all WAA members, and WAA will consider applicants whose membership has lapsed due to the pandemic.
