CONTACT JENNIFIER

Jennifier Stewart joined WAA in August 2014 after having relocated to Portland from New York City. In NYC, Jennifier was at the Broadway League--the national trade association for the Broadway theatre industry--for more than 10 years, and it was here she developed a genuine enthusiasm for providing member-based service.  

In her role as Conference Manager, Jennifier is responsible for organizing all operational aspects of WAA's annual conference. These responsibilities include: coordinating site selection; hotel contract negotiation;  sponsorship sales; managing hospitality; and overseeing the exhibit hall and all event spaces. Jennifier also organizes WAA's smaller, more specialized meetings that take place throughout the year. She has a B.A. in Theatre Arts from the University of Oregon and a Masters of Arts in Dramatic Arts from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  

Jennifier currently volunteers with two important community groups: On-The-Move Community Integration, a social services agency whose mission is to ensure the participation of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their communities, and as the treasurer for her neighborhood middle school's parent-led non-profit support group.
