2022 WAA Board Nominations: Your Voice, Your Vote
A Message to the WAA Membership
WAA is a membership association, so our members’ involvement in the WAA community is vital. Everything, from our website content, community communications, programs, and committees, is developed for the purpose of serving our members.
Nominations for the 2022 WAA Board of Directors are open, and we need your input.
The WAA board is charged with advancing the performing arts through innovative thinking and ground-breaking initiatives. WAA’s capacity to meet the needs of you — our members — relies on sound governance and stewardship, led by our board.
Please consider making a nomination — for yourself or a colleague – to join our board. The seats of the President, Vice President, and one Director position are open.
WAA is committed to creating and sustaining an inclusive and equitable board, and to that end, we encourage you to nominate BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and LGBTQ+ artists, administrators, agents, and leaders. WAA's Governance Committee will prioritize historically underserved voices in the selection of the nominees as part of our ongoing commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Please read The Role of the Board to understand the duties and responsibilities of our board members.
Make your voice heard by making your nomination today. The deadline to nominate is 11:59pm PT on Sunday, August 7, 2022.
The Governance Committee will review and vet all nominees, and their proposed slate of candidates will be distributed to the membership via email for a vote later this year.
