View the Indigenous Greeting Video for the 2020 AMW+WAA Conference Opening Plenary
WAA’s Advancing Indigenous Performance (AIP) program created this video for the Opening Plenary of the Arts Midwest + Western Arts Alliance 2020 Conference, held virtually on October 6-9, 2020.
Compiled from contributions by Indigenous artists and tradition bearers representing the spectrum of our constituencies and global partners, this video was intended to serve as a hybrid greeting and land acknowledgment from the First Peoples of the many geographic locations from which our members and guests participated in the Conference. We honor the ancestral caretakers of all the lands upon which we do our work, and encourage you to do the same. Feel free to share this link.
